WEDDING DAY TIMELINE

Below is a wedding day questionnaire to gather all of the details that I will need to know in order to begin drafting your wedding photography coverage timeline for the big day! We can begin as soon as you have the following details all squared away. At the latest, I ask that we have this fully completed and reviewed 3 weeks prior to your wedding date! 

 

Please give me two weeks from your time of submission to present the first timeline draft to you. I will create your timeline/schedule in Google Spreadsheets and share the document with you when it is ready. Afterwards, we will set up a time to hop on a brief call to review and go over any other details you want to add or change.

Please reach out to me BEFORE your wedding planner drafts a timeline (if you have one). Many times planners do not leave enough time for photos and I love to be hands on with structuring your day to make sure that things go as smooth as possible! 

SOME DEETS TO TAKE NOTE OF

  • THE MORE FLEXIBILITY/TRUST YOU GIVE ME LOCATION / LIGHTING WISE THE BETTER YOUR PHOTOS WILL TURN OUT. I PROMISE THAT THE LIGHTING IMPACTS EVERRRYTHING, AND WHILE I CAN MAKE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WORK - I KNOW WHAT WILL LOOK BEST IN POST PRODUCTION AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE I AM DELIVERING THE HIGHEST QUALITY IMAGES POSSIBLE TO YOU! I GOT YOU!

  • BACK LIGHTING IS NOT YOUR FRIEND - THIS WILL GIVE YOU A SILOUETTE LOOK RATHER THAN A NICELY LIT FACE. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THERE IS A WINDOW BEHIND YOUR HEAD TABLE, I WOULD RECOMMEND REARRANGING TO HAVE THE LIGHT ON YOUR FACE OR COMING FROM THE SIDE. AGAIN, I CAN MAKE IT WORK BUT IT WILL EDIT AS MORE OF A SHADOW / SILHOUETTE LOOK.

  • RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR DAY, I DON'T MISS A BEAT AND BARELY TAKE BATHROOM BREAKS BUT MAKE SURE TO LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE MAIN MOMENTS THAT YOU DON'T WANT ME TO MISS DURING A POTTY BREAK!

  • PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY TO HAVE ALL PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE CONCLUDED WITHIN YOUR SCHEDULED TIME PERIOD. I TOTALY GET THAT THINGS HAPPEN AND I WILL HAVE SOME FLEXIBILITY, BUT BEYOND 30 ADDITIONAL MINUTES I WILL NEED TO CHARGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FULL HOUR AS CONTRACTED TO BE PAID BEFORE MY DEPARTURE AND BEFORE ANY SNEAKS OR FURTHER SERVICES WILL BE DELIVERED. 

  • PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE ASSIGNED DINNER SEATING AND MEAL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR YOUR LEAD/SECOND SHOOTERS AND ANY OTHER VENDORS THAT HAVE A MEAL CONTRACTED. YO GIRL GETS HANGRY AFTER 12 HOUR DAYS AND NEEDS A LITTLE FUEL TO KEEP THE GOOD VIBES ROLLIN'. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

  • LASTLY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING (2) PLAYLISTS ON SPOTIFY OR PANDORA TO PLAY DURING BOTH FAMILY PORTRAITS AND YOUR WEDDING PARTY PORTRAITS TO JAM OUT TO! I'LL BRING THE SPEAKER AND IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO, I WILL JUST TOSS ON A STATION OF YOUR PREFERENCE OTHERWISE! 

SPECIAL ITEMS TO HAVE SET ASIDE

If you would like me to capture flat lay shots of your special details, here are some ideas for items to have set aside and ready to go for me right when I arrive! This is completely optional, but I am a huge fan of capturing all of the little things that make your day YOURS. You might not remember some of these things in 30 years from now, so having imagery to freeze them in time is priceless

  • INVITATION SUITE / STATIONARY / COPY OF SAVE THE DATES / ANY PRINTED PHOTOS FOR YOUR DETAIL SHOTS THAT YOU WANT INCLUDED

  • EXTRA FLORALS FOR TEXTURE IN YOUR FLAT LAY DETAIL SHOTS

ITEMS TO CONSIDER PURCHASING

I have included some links below for items that are a great asset to detail shots and just a few smart backup ideas for bad weather! 

  • WOODEN HANGERS - I linked some super cheap Ikea ones and I swear they are a must, it makes all the difference for hanging dress detail shots. I love custom bride hangers also!​​

  • CLEAR UMBRELLAS - If you are getting married during a time where rain is a possibility - I HIGHLY recommend ordering these matching clear umbrellas to have one per person in your wedding party! I will have 2 to supply for the bride and groom.

  • CONFETTI + CHAMPAGNE POP - Such a fun way to make things fun and create stunning images that are full of energy! Just make sure the confetti is large enough to pick up or decomposable, the super small stuff gets stuck in your hair - I have learned the hard LOL!
